"I had an incredibly poor experience getting setup with this State Farm office. I was in the process of purchasing a new home and was interested in consolidating multiple other insurance policies (homeowner, multiple landlord policies, auto and umbrella). I went through the process to transfer all of these to State Farm and had a good initial experience with their account manager. After getting all of these policies setup and canceling my previous policies, I was informed that three of the new policies would be cancelled. Two of these are for rental properties. Both the customer service person and I were confused because they were denying a policy on a house that hadn't had a claim. When I asked for more information they dug into this and found out that they have a new rule where if a claim has been made on any of your rental properties in the last 3 years, they cannot start a new policy with you (and there is no budging). This is totally fine and State Farm's prerogative, but it's completely unacceptable that they did not disclose this upfront and "weren't aware" of this rule until I pushed them on why this was being canceled. If they had informed me of this upfront, I would not have gone through the trouble of setting up a new policy and canceling my old ones. Additionally, their underwriters decided that I need a new roof and that repairs would not be sufficient. I requested photos and the survey. They made the assessment that I need a roof base on 3 up close pictures of small sections of the roof, which is not indicative of the overall condition. It's ludicrous that you can make an assessment for a full roof without photos of the entire roof, and then say repairs/partial replacement isn't sufficient. Most frustrating was that in these situations I always had to push for more info. The customer service person would act when I asked questions, but not proactively. I didn’t feel like they cared to keep my business or help find a solution. Stay away. These folks are uninformed and won't advocate for you."

Rest assured, I will share it with our team so we can improve and provide clients with the experience they expect and deserve. Secondly, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience you endured. I completely understand how frustrating it is to switch your policies only to have them canceled without ample advance notice and for no apparent reason. At the local office, our job is to collect the preliminary information from interested buyers and to submit insurance applications. Unfortunately, all applications are subject to final underwriting review and approval - which are beyond our control. Our associate had no reason to believe your application would not be accepted; otherwise; he would have not been able to proceed. Ultimately, the loss history in conjunction with the maintenance items presented a risk the company is not willing to accept at this time. We tried to appeal to no avail. Although, outcomes like these are infrequent, they are temporary too! Claims expire after five years. Should you like to reconsider, I would be honored to personally handle your applications. "My Husband and I were loyal customers of 9 yrs... We have had a lot of issues on several occasions with this particular Branch of State Farm. We were left 130 miles from our home. The option on our policy changed without notice to us...we were stranded with our grandbabies. Absolutely we were not happy who would be. I noticed as I looked at all the 5 star reviews... it seems to me that they only allow the 5 star reviews. If they are anything other then that they contact Google to have them removed. The point of this is do your homework ! Snake do not change they just sheed there skin. Beware of these people running this branch of state farm. They lie and it coast alot to the one in need on the side of the road.!! Don't fall for the Lies!!"

"PLEASE!!😡 Do yourself a favor and look to other Insurance Companies and not this one, They left my Wife and Grand Kids stranded on the side of I- 84 and would not tow our car that we have been paying 9 years of coverage on.. They lied to my Wife and I and the absolute worst Insurance Company there is.. We have had multiple problems with them.. Hopefully you find this helpful... P.S. Lies & more Lies from State Farms doesn't get you anywhere but a headache.. Just Bad Insurance Companies that stick it to there Insurers.. State Farm is trying remove this because it is effecting there reviews.. An honest review for the People that should know how they are.. Thanks Google ❤️"
"On October 08th, 2024 this person threatened to cause bodily injury to a female employee. We contacted the police department (case #24-258011) He was ordered by the police to stay away and not to harass us. Facts: vehicle was disabled 130+ miles away from Portland. He was provided with the option to tow it to the nearest repair facility regardless the distance, but instead, he wanted it towed to his residence exceeding the limit as per his contract. Google has been notified and we are working to get this review removed."
